The Vietnam War also demonstrated the dangers of engaging in protracted, seemingly unwinnable conflicts without clear objectives. The lack of a definitive military strategy and clear goals contributed to the prolonged nature of the war, resulting in a high number of casualties and enormous economic costs. This prompted a reevaluation of military planning and the importance of setting achievable objectives and exit strategies in future conflicts.
