Momentum, a fundamental concept in physics, finds its application in various real-life scenarios. Let's explore some common examples:

1. Sports

Momentum plays a crucial role in sports, particularly in games like basketball and football. When a player running with the ball suddenly stops or changes direction, their momentum causes them to continue moving forward. This is why it can be challenging for defenders to stop a skilled athlete in motion.

2. Car Safety

Momentum is also relevant to car safety. When a car is moving at high speed, it possesses a significant amount of momentum. This is why it takes longer to stop a car traveling at high speeds compared to one traveling at lower speeds. Seatbelts and airbags are designed to minimize the impact force experienced by occupants by extending the time it takes for the occupants to come to a stop, thus reducing the change in momentum.

3. Rocket Propulsion Systems
