In order to study and observe subatomic particles, scientists use particle detectors. These devices help identify and measure various properties of particles, such as their mass, charge, and energy. Examples of particle detectors include the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN, which played a crucial role in discovering the Higgs boson, and the detectors used in PET (positron emission tomography) scans for medical imaging.
