Kites are quadrilaterals with two pairs of adjacent sides of equal length. The diagonals of a kite intersect at a right angle and one diagonal bisects the other. For example, if we have a kite with sides of length 5cm, 5cm, 8cm, and 8cm, we can see that the diagonals will intersect at a right angle. The longer diagonal will bisect the shorter diagonal, resulting in two congruent right triangles.
