Circular motion is the movement of an object in a circular path. It is an important concept in physics and has various applications in our daily lives. When an object moves in a circular path, it experiences a force directed towards the center of the circle, known as the centripetal force. This force allows the object to continually change its direction, resulting in circular motion.

One common example of circular motion is a car driving along a curved road. As the car makes a turn, it experiences a centripetal force towards the center of the curve. The friction between the tires and the road provides the necessary force for the car to maintain its circular path.

In circular motion, an object's velocity is constantly changing. While the magnitude of the velocity remains constant, the direction keeps changing, leading to centripetal acceleration. This acceleration is always directed towards the center of the circle.
